Lightweight battery-free active noise reduction aviation headsetUsing the latest in ANR circuitry to target and reduce wind noise in jet cockpits, the Airman 850 provides up to 12 decibels (dB) of noise attenuation between 100 and 2000 Hz. At just four ounces, the headset is the lightest ANR product in the marketplace, and ear cups and cushions have been enlarged from previous models to enhance pilot comfort.  Additional features include a set and forget volume control feature, noise-canceling electret microphone and fully flexible boom.  The Airman 850 dramatically improves the clarity of communication and does not require batteries or panel power—active noise reduction is powered by microphone bias. Telex Airman 750 and 850 headsets are used in more than 70 percent of commercial airframes. The Airman 850 is available for Boeing, Airbus and other airframes and does not require specialized intercom adapters. No batteries requiredNoise reduction targeted at wind noise for reduced fatigueCombined active noise reduction and microphone noise cancellation provide clear in-flight communicationsUltra-lightweight headset combined with pillow-like ear cushions ensure comfort on long flightsFAA TSO-C57a and C58a approvedThis Airman 850 ANR headset (EDMO# 301317-003) is double-sided, with a dual PJ-068 and PJ-055 connector, and has a 600Ω impedance. No batteries requiredNoise reduction targeted at wind noise for reduced fatigueCombined active noise reduction and microphone noise cancellation provide clear in-flight communicationsUltra-lightweight headset combined with pillow-like ear cushions ensure comfort on long flightsFAA TSO-C57a and C58a approvedWeight:4.02 oz (113.98 g)Boom:Flexible BoomColor:BlackCord Length:5.58 ft (1.7 m)Ear Seals:Plush foamFrequency Response:350 Hz – 15,000 HzImpedance:600Ω ±20%Microphone Frequency Response:300 Hz – 6,000 HzMicrophone Impedance:50Ω – 600ΩMicrophone Sensitivity:-51 ±3 dB dBV/PaMicrophone Type:Noise-Cancelling Amplified ElectretNoise Reduction:≤12 dBPower:via mic biasPower Requirements:Microphone Bias (requires boom microphone to be powered continuously)Speaker:DynamicSpeaker Sensitivity:85 – 95 SPL/mWStereo:NoFAA TSO Approvals: C57a and C58a
